Group Training

We have a number of group training options. These provide a great option to team up with some like minded people! Or if you have 4-6 people and you’d like to start your own group just give us a call or Contact us and we'll make it happen!

Options include

Pilates

What is Pilates? Pilates is an exercise modality aimed at strengthening your deep abdominal, buttock and spinal muscles to improve the muscular support and stability of your spine, and to improve your posture.

Why do Pilates? Pain can inhibit the function of the important stabilising muscles. Once pain has gone the muscle function does not automatically return to normal, therefore it is necessary to strengthen the muscles to reduce the likelihood of the injury and pain returning again. Pilates is a gentle and effective way to re-train these muscles. If you’re not in pain Pilates can also help to optimise your spinal health – and reduce the likelihood of injury or back pain from occurring.

How do I start? Step 1 Your initial screening assessment This enables your Exercise Physiologist to determine the best course of action for you. We assess your range of motion and spinal stabilising strength.

Step 2 Individualising your program If you haven’t done Pilates before we strongly recommend you undertake 1-2 one-on-one sessions with your Exercise Physiologist. This way we can be confident that you will be performing your Pilates program correctly.

Step 3 Individual or small groups – it’s up to you! You are more than welcome to continue with individual sessions – these are the best way to get the most from your Pilates program. However small groups, of no more than 4 people, will allow you to keep the cost down whilst still getting the supervision and guidance required!

Functional Training Group

An intermediate to high level group for those looking for a real challenge. We use proven function based exercises to create a stable and resilient body – you’ll be surprised at how effective these session are!

Female Fighting Fit Group

Girl power! This female only group is suited to beginners through to advanced exercisers. Focused on female specific programming you will really love the way these group sessions flow through fantastic exercises just for you.

Pace Performance

At PACE, we specialise in the design and ongoing monitoring of Strength and Conditioning (S+C) programs - for the keen social competitor right through to elite level professionals.

All of our clients and athletes have different goals and therefore different training requirements. We work closely with them to ensure optimal gains are made.

Goals and programs will vary, they can include

  • Injury prevention
  • Greater endurance to delay fatigue
  • Improved reaction times
  • Greater core and postural stability
  • Improved muscle balance and flexibility
  • Enhanced speed and agility
  • Anaerobic power for explosive sports
  • Visualisation techniques

What makes our programs work?

Our S+C coaches and Exercise Physiologists work together with you to analyse the requirements of your sport or fitness goals.

We take into consideration your level of development and ‘training age’.

We can then determine what is needed to take your performance to the next level!

“Training with PACE has really helped me recover faster from riding hard. I fatigue less and feel like I can take bigger falls with out getting hurt. I'm stoked I started this program and feel this will really lengthen my life span as a pro wakeboarder.”
Chris O’Shea – Pro wakeboarder
