What to expect from your appointment with a Dietitian?

During the initial consultation, the Dietitian will explore the individual’s current dietary habits, mealtime challenges, activity levels, medications, and relevant medical history. Together with the young person or their carer, they will identify nutrition goals and outline practical steps to achieve them.

Following the assessment, the Dietitian will complete a detailed report and liaise with other healthcare professionals involved in the person’s care where appropriate.

Review sessions focus on assessing the effectiveness of any changes made since the initial appointment, adjusting plans as needed, and setting new goals to support ongoing progress.
