Pediatric Occupational Therapy

Supporting children to build confidence, independence and everyday life skills.

Our Paediatric Occupational Therapists help children develop the functional, developmental and learning skills they need to participate in daily life at home, school and in the community. We work closely with children and their families to build confidence, self-efficacy and wellbeing, supporting each child to engage in meaningful activities and become as independent as possible.

Why Families Choose Paediatric Occupational Therapy at PACE

Paediatric Occupational Therapy at PACE offers flexible and accessible support across clinic, home and community settings, ensuring therapy fits seamlessly into each family’s routine. This approach allows children to develop skills in the environments where they live, learn and play.

Our Occupational Therapists are warm, supportive clinicians who prioritise each child’s unique needs. They consider developmental milestones, sensory processing, emotional regulation, family routines and individual strengths to create practical, tailored therapy plans that build confidence, independence and meaningful participation in daily life.

With a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, we deliver coordinated and comprehensive care, providing wrap-around support that helps every child thrive across home, school and community environments.

We welcome clients from all funding streams, including private clients, those with a Medicare referral, and participants under the NDIS. A referral is not required to access our services.

What to expect from your appointment with a Occupational Therapist?

During the initial consultation, the Occupational Therapist will explore your child’s developmental history, daily routines, play skills, emotional regulation, sensory preferences, and any challenges they experience at home, school or in the community. Together with the child and their parent or carer, the therapist will identify meaningful goals and outline practical strategies to support progress in everyday activities.

Following the assessment, the Occupational Therapist will develop a detailed therapy plan and, where appropriate, liaise with other healthcare or educational professionals involved in your child’s care.

Review sessions focus on monitoring your child’s progress, adjusting strategies as needed, and setting new goals to support ongoing development across play, learning, behaviour, self-care and community participation.
